Courage is grace under pressure.
He had never understood that until now and he was neck deep in ocean depth crushing pressure.
“Now Dave, walk slowly to the black sedan across the street”
“How do I know she’s still alive and with you there” Dave said over the phone.
“Hope, Dave, Hope, Isn’t it what keeps us going each day”
“Can I at least hear her voice? ”
“No, now no more silly questions or you’ll get another funeral this year.

Diego checked his time.
10:27pm.
He was working late again.
But he actually liked it, The silence gave him room and space to hear his own thoughts, the darkness gave him the opportunity to look beyond what he could see, Before leaving he stuffed two briefcases with reports and statistics to be studied, He got out of his office, down to his Bentley Gt Convertible, Billy was supposed to be the one driving him since he didn’t have sufficient knowledge of the roads, but he had declined and right now it seemed like the right choice since it gave him more privacy.
He drove out, through the street, past the buildings, under the street lights and in a little while he drove through the golden gates, past the adequately aligned trees into the garage.
Before he got into the house, he felt a grim foreboding, After the usual exchange of greetings with his brothers……..
Cole asked
“Where’s Dave”
“Dave, I don’t know where he is” Diego answered.
“He wasn’t at the office? ” Philip joined the conversation.
“No, I thought he was here” Diego said.
“He hadn’t come back since he went for his morning jog, So we thought he must have stopped by at the office to see you” Cole said.
“No, He never came” Diego said.
“He’s probably with one of his girls” Philip said.
“But he didn’t carry his Ferrari, he rarely goes anywhere without that car” Cole said.
“He never goes anywhere without his Ferrari, Something is wrong” Diego said.
A phone rang.
“Pick up your phone Philip” Diego said.
“It’s not mine” Philip said.
“It’s not mine either” Cole said as they both looked at him.
“Well, something is definitely ringing” Diego said.
“It seems like it’s the landline” Philip answered.
“Anyone expecting a call?” Diego asked.
“I don’t think anyone has ever gotten a call from it since dad died, but I’ll check it” Cole said before picking up the phone.
“Hello”
“Hello”
“Am I on to Diego? ” A familiar voice asked.
“No” Cole answered before giving the phone to Diego.
“Hello”
“Is this Diego?” The mind teasing voice asked again.
“Yes, Do I know you”
“Well you may or may not Mr Diego, But I would advice you get your luggage ready because you’re going on a very long trip”
“And why would I do that? ” Diego asked
“Because we have one of the four”
